Christmas Failure....

I can't say much until after Christmas, but did you know that there are different types of Olive Oil for different things. I always but the same Extra Virgin Olive Oil and I use it for everything; baking, salad dressing, frying, EVERYTHING. Yeah, not to self; Learn the types of Olive oil and what they are used for! :( Now I have to restart and throw what I've made out. Dang, I hate you EVOO!

Shopping, Shopping and Shopping!

I cannot even begin to explain how much shopping I have done lately. For Birthdays, Christmas and craft projects. I have been shopping online, in-store, pinterest and everywhere! I was beginning to have those days where you feel like you are not accomplishing anything. Than you begin to get depressed and sad because you feel like a bad mom, wife and human. I couldn't take it any longer and tried to fix it by going shopping. We all know that makes us feel better. Needless to say, even though I have shopped A LOT lately, I haven't really bought much. I have shopped for mostly ideas and we all know how well I do at following through with ideas. I swear each post promises to be better at posting and every time I fail.

All in all, I am working on making all of my Christmas presents this year. It has been a lot of work but it is going to be great. I can't wait to show the products with you. If I remember...

Quit with the Door Bell

I don't know if people just don't THINK about it or they are purposely doing it to be evil but seriously, stop ringing the doorbell. The man or woman who invented the doorbell definitely DID NOT have kids. I swear people stalk me JUST to WAIT until Kiera is down for a nap and then they RING the bell. AHHHH!

This is a warning. DO not ring my DOORBELL. and if you forget, just READ.

My babygirl is getting SOO BIG.

Definately improving. It has only been a few months since my last post. HAHA!

Kiera is turning 1 is a few weeks. She has been REFUSING to even stand on her own but the last few days she has been standing and taking a few steps. I am glad she is just making progress. I was beginning to think that I was going to carry her for the rest of my life. HA! She is getting so big and is looking MORE and MORE like a toddler. It is insane. :)

Randy is working like crazy and I am just staying home still. We are both taking some classes at the college too. :)

We are planning a Tangled birthday party for Kiera. I am excited for it. I KNOW she is ONLY 1 but it is a huge milestone and this is my first child so I am going to make it fun. I think it is a birthday party for me more than it is for her. HAHAHA! I don't even know what to get her for her birthday. I was thinking one of those Kitchen play sets. Hmmm.

She has been growing our of ALL her clothes. She has been in 12mo clothes since June and I am afraid to go out and buy more 12mo because I don't know how much longer she will be in them. I am trying to find some local people who have extra clothes for her. I'd rather buy used clothes than brand new.

Thinks are going great. Kiera knows about 10 signs. I have been taking an ASL class and so I come home and teach her what I know. :) It has been soo fun! I love her!!!!

S'mores

For the past 3 nights, we have been making s'mores out in our backyard. We have a pit and have actually never used it before. So we pulled it out and lit it up. It has been so fun. :) Tonight, we had Jenny's kids with us and they had a blast. We were all sitting around the pit and told stories. I couldn't believe the things these kids came up with. So imaginative.

At one point, I told Libby to call me Queen Nikki to which she replied, "Stop it, I am the Queen." :D

Today, I also got my car detailed. I cannot believe that I let it get so disgusting. I thought about doing before and after pictures but I am so embarrassed by how gross it was. They did such a good job on it which I had hoped since I paid them a good chunk of money! :) We decided that we really need to keep the car vacuumed out at least once a month and get it detailed at least every 6 months.

Other than that, we have just been living life and trying to survive. Kiera is getting way too big and is beginning to stand on her own and will walk if you hold her hands. She waves goodbye and gives kisses all day long. Her favorite food right now is a nice cold peeled plum. But we can only give her one a day for obvious reasons. :P

Soon school is going to start and we are going to be so busy. Randy is only taking 1 maybe 2 classes. He is on the waiting list for one of them. So far, I am signed up for 17 credits but I am pretty sure I will drop a few of them before the semester really starts.

Flashback Friday Failure

Very long overdue update!

I am not going to even attempt to catch up the last 9 months at one time. Slowly, I am hoping I can eventually. Maybe, I will steal the idea of Flashback Friday's :)

This is a picture of Miss Kiera Bug. It was take last month at my Granny's house. She was soo excited to get a whole 1/4 of a waffle. Can you tell? It is my most absolute favorite picture because it completely describes who Kiera is. She LOVES food. She is always soo happy. She makes me smile all the time. :D

Lately, Randy has been working out of our home. We have the office set up for him to work. Sometimes, it gets a little tough but it is really nice to just have his presence here with us.
